Why “Come Alberi”

There is a simple gesture we make when we observe a tree:
we lift our eyes, follow the trunk, and let our gaze rise—up to the branches, the leaves, higher and higher, toward the sky. And for a moment we feel drawn upward, wondering how it manages to reach so high, to brush the sky.

The answer is hidden beneath our feet.

A tree cannot touch the sky unless it has deep, wide, living roots.
Roots that seek water, nourishment, stability; roots that sink into the soil, that intertwine, that create connections.

What we see above is made possible by what exists below—and the same is true for us human beings.

We live in an age that asks us to be more: faster, more efficient, more visible.
Being “better than others” seems to have become more important than being ourselves.

And in this race toward a sky we did not choose, we risk losing ourselves—losing sight of our dreams, our talents, our desires. It becomes easy to forget who we truly are.

This is why rootedness is essential.
Because it is our roots that remind us of the direction, that bring us back home, that tell us:
“You don’t need to climb higher than others. You need to follow the path of your heart.”

Our roots are made of experiences, emotions, stories, wounds, and resources.
A tree is not afraid of having deep roots: it knows that the stronger they are, the more it can open itself to the sky.

“Like Trees” is an invitation to remember that we, too, have an invisible, powerful part that deserves to be heard.
An invitation not to rush only toward the summit, but to return to where everything begins; to recognize that what supports us already lives within us, even if we cannot see it (yet).

Only those who reconnect with their roots can find their own sky, their authenticity, their direction, their mission, their truest self.

What is below is above.
There is a silent law in nature: what happens in depth is reflected on the surface.
And what is inside is outside.

But this deserves a chapter of its own—and I will tell that story in another article.
